A Long Road That Was Worth the Effort

After months of paperwork, back-and-forth meetings, and countless signatures, the Municipality of Punta Arenas has granted us final approval. With that last green light, our foundation is now fully registered and ready to act.

A Clear Legal Identity

We now have our own tax ID—65.243.972-1, Fundación Río Rubens Conservancy—and we’ve officially opened activities with the Chilean IRS (SII). Each administrative step strengthens the trust and transparency with which we aim to work.

What This New Stage Unlocks

Being legally constituted means we can sign agreements, receive donations, and collaborate formally with companies, universities, and public agencies. We’ll operate with the same grassroots spirit as always, but backed by the legal framework that ensures accountability.

A Humble Look Toward the Future

Patagonia offers vast territory to learn from and protect. We’ll move without haste, adding one grain of sand at a time: small research projects, open data, and local partnerships. With every step, we hope to contribute to the health of its rivers and the well-being of the communities that depend on them.
